Choose the item and the dates you need it, then book. New hirers complete a one-time £2 identity check and pay no platform fee on top of the lender's price. The lender either posts the item by tracked delivery to arrive on your start date or arranges a local collection, which is often easier for prams and cots. You return it the same way at the end.
Can I check the condition before I take something?
Collecting locally is the best way to do that, and many parents who lend prefer it. You can see the item, check the straps, the fittings and the cleanliness, and ask the owner about its history. If you are booking delivery instead, message the lender first and ask for extra photographs or details about the model and its age before you commit to the dates.
What if something is damaged or does not come back?
Hirers are responsible for an item while it is with them and are liable for repair or replacement, so tell the lender as soon as a problem appears. Every booking is also covered by the Lender Guarantee up to £30,000, which protects the lender if a hirer does not put it right. Normal wear from ordinary use is expected rather than penalised.
