What turns up depends on who is lending. Blues and jazz, hard rock, dance, classical, soundtracks and children's stories all appear. It is a good way to put a night of music together without buying all of it, or to hear a remaster properly before deciding it is worth owning. Lenders keep 75% of each rental, which is a reason to let a shelf of records earn something.
Records travel by tracked delivery timed for your start date, and some lenders offer local collection. Lenders know who has their records, because hirers are identity-verified before they can book, and the Rentoodle Lender Guarantee covers each booking up to £30,000. The lender sets the price, and Rentoodle adds no platform fee to it. Two days is the minimum hire unless the lender says otherwise.

How should records be packed and posted back?
Carefully, and in the packaging they arrived in wherever possible. Records warp or scuff easily in transit, so keep the mailer, use the inner sleeve and post by a tracked service to arrive by the end date. Ask the lender if you are unsure.
What if a record is scratched or lost?
Tell the lender as soon as you can. Hirers are liable for repair or replacement while an item is with them, which for a rare pressing can matter a great deal. Every booking is covered by the Lender Guarantee up to £30,000.
