Choose the machine and the dates, then book. New hirers complete a one-time £2 identity check and pay no fee on top of the owner's price. The owner sends the laptop by tracked delivery for your start date or arranges a local handover.
What happens to my data?
Treat a hired machine as shared equipment. Sign out of every account, remove your files and clear any browser profiles before you send it back, and avoid storing anything sensitive on it. Owners state in the listing how they expect a machine returned.
What if the hardware fails during my hire?
Message the owner straight away rather than trying to repair it. Hirers are responsible for equipment while it is with them and are liable for damage or loss. Every booking is covered by the Lender Guarantee up to £30,000 as well.
