About lighting hire
Lighting transforms a room or a shoot for one evening and then goes back in its box. Rentoodle lets you hire it from people in the UK who use it professionally or occasionally, from festoon strings for a garden party to stage and studio heads.

Events, weddings, photography, theatre and Christmas all create short bursts of demand that hiring fits neatly. Borrowers pay 0% in fees plus a one-time £2 ID check, every booking is covered by the Lender Guarantee up to £30,000, and delivery or collection is your choice.

Lighting hire FAQs
How does lighting hire work on Rentoodle?
Choose the lights and the dates, then book. New hirers verify their identity once for £2 and pay nothing on top of the owner's price. The owner sends the equipment by tracked delivery or arranges a local collection, which is easier for stands.
Are stands, cables and bulbs included?
Read the listing, because owners itemise what is in the box themselves. Some hire out a complete kit with stands, cables and spare bulbs, others list the head alone. Message the owner before booking and agree what you need to supply yourself.
What if a bulb blows or a fixture is damaged?
Tell the owner as soon as it happens. Hirers are liable for repair or replacement while equipment is with them, including consumables such as bulbs unless the listing says otherwise. Every booking is covered by the Lender Guarantee up to £30,000.
