How does fancy dress hire work on Rentoodle?
Choose the costume and the dates, then book. New hirers complete a one-time £2 identity check and pay nothing on top of the owner's price. The owner posts it by tracked delivery or arranges a local collection, and you return it after the event.
How far ahead should I book for Halloween?
As early as you can. Costumes are seasonal and the best ones go first, so late October is busy. Booking ahead also leaves room to try the costume on. The default minimum hire is two days, which covers a party and the day after.
What if a costume is torn or stained?
Let the owner know straight away. Hirers are responsible for an item while it is with them and are liable for cleaning, repair or replacement. Every booking is covered by the Lender Guarantee up to £30,000. Check the listing for cleaning expectations.
